| TheSlayers Secret Santa Exchange 2009 - Gift Exchange! |

This is the official Gift Giving post where each of the gift exchange participants will be giving and receiving their gifts. Here's how it will be carried out.
First, everyone who is participating will comment to this post with their username and/or name (that they signed up with) in the post. If you want, you can even put in a little header to help it stand out. This is where you can exchange comments with your Secret Santa.

Genre: Drama, Angst, Gen (Partners!Lina/Gourry slant)
Summary: Takes place almost immediately after volume 15 of the novels and likewise assumes some basic knowledge of the major event taking place in it. Lina and Gourry struggle to cope, in their own separate ways, while meeting an old friend in Seyruun and coming to terms with their partnership and finding a common ground.

On to the doujinshi itself: There were two pages missing from these raws, one of which was pointed out in the story because it created kind of a jarring scene-change (it’s explained in context), and the other page I didn’t even notice was missing until, well… today, so you know the story functions well enough without it. That said, though, I’d love to have those missing pages so we can release a version two at some point, so if anyone ever sees it on ebay or the like, drop us a line! Other than that, it’s an incredible read, and I hope you all enjoy it.
For those not in the know, what are doujinshi?
Think of doujinshi as individually-published stories either entirely unique in premise or based on a pre-existing series, typically presented in novel or comic form; one could almost consider them a type of fanfiction, though typically of a much higher quality than, say, the average Twilight one you'd find on Fanfiction.net. Many professional manga authors, for instance, Koshi Rikudo and Ken Akamatsu, were once or are still doujinshi artists. |
